This week, though, we’re tabling our big celebration and saving it for a better day. We start off the episode by sharing some memories of Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman) who recently passed away. Matt claims him as the “last surviving pride” of Oneonta, NY and shares some vivid childhood memories, and we also come to the conclusion that he would be a massive success if he were creating content on YouTube today. Then we do a brief retrospective on the past few years of The Create Unknown. Matt distills 200 episodes of advice into one nugget of wisdom, Kevin shares the expectations he had for the creative landscape, and we discuss the surprising pushback that we’ve received. We finish off the episode by highlighting some TCU alumni who have gone above and beyond, how best to encourage people to go that extra mile, and the importance of finding motivation from others, not just yourself. A big thank you to everyone who has entered The Create Unknown with us over these past 200 episodes, and thanks especially to our wonderful patrons who make it all happen each and every week.
