If you look around, turn on the TV, or listen to the radio this time of year, very little is said about the real celebration of Christmas. While many things may warm our hearts and remind us of the essence, we need not remain in the shadows of reality while missing it altogether. Our joy is not rooted in twinkling lights, beautifully-wrapped presents, holiday parties, or a white-bearded man dressed in red. Our joy - the joy of Christmas - is rooted in Jesus. We celebrate Christmas because Jesus, God's Son and chosen Messiah, was born. Because Christ was born, we have hope, we have peace, we have purpose.... through Jesus we can be made one with God again. Today, we strip away the materialism and secular traditions of Christmas so we might truly behold and worship God's greatest gift, Jesus, in awe and gratitude. O come let us adore Him, Christ our Lord!Note: All background music of this podcast from Ring the Bells, A Christmas Offering, 2007.

The series tells that story, through the eyes of two young islanders and the paths they both choose.
