Our Construction Industry Charity Needs our support - Lighthouse Club CEO, Bill Hill talks to Peter Haddock about its helpline and campaign to raise £1m

from Construction and Earthworks Podcast · host ContentForIndustry.com

The Lighthouse Club is the Construction industry charity and in the words of its CEO, Bill Hill,  they need a Captain (Colonel) Tom moment, to raise £1m to support the work the charity does. In this podcast, Bill talks about the charity, how it works, what it is doing and much more, but what sticks with us is the very sad loss of life that the charity could have potentially stopped. With a 55% increase in calls to its 24/7 Construction Industry helpline, a huge issue with funding with the loss of £250,000 alone from its potentially suspended Christmas event, Bill and his team need our help to do two things.  First and most importantly, to get the Construction Industry Helpline number out there 0345 605 1956 and the free app details of which can be found at this link www.constructionindustryhelpline.com The second is to support the charity with is recently launched 'Construction Workers Family Crisis Appeal' to raise £1m, full details here www.lighthouseclub.org Please listen to this podcast and share it with as many people as you can. We all have a role we can play in supporting our industry and the families that rely on it.  Thank you for listening and thanks to Ritchie Bros for suggesting we talk to Bill as part of this 'Supporting the Construction and Plant sector' podcast series they sponsor. We are humbled and privileged to be able to share this with you all.
