Our “Devilish” Politics

We once again find ourselves approaching election season. In his Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinksy famously recognized the founder of the modern revolutionary spirit as “the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer.” As a secular Jew, Alinsky did not believe in a personal devil – but his analogy does give us an enlightening look at the state of our politics.
