In this episode, the conversation took a deeper and different turn. We are being drawn into the past to consider how the Israelites dealt with their 'daily bread' the manna. Furthermore, our Lord offered his disciples their 'daily bread' His body. This inspired St. Teresa to lament on how we treat our 'daily bread' the Body of our Lord, and how so much it has been profaned and disrespected. A reference to St. Ignatius of Antioch made the conversation so rich with lessons coming from the Apostolic era.
