One of the most beautiful verses in the Bible is Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” All of us have needs. Sometimes we feel desperate. The solution is to draw near to Jesus. And the key to understanding how to draw near is seeing Jesus as our “great high priest.” You might be thinking, “What in the world does that mean?”
