Our Inner Child is the Key to our Healing

from Raw Conversations with Corinne Blum · host Corinne Blum

It all comes down to our inner child. How we get triggered, why we get defensive, the emotional reactions we find ourselves repeating. The core of our patterns and reactions is our wounding which is when the child within us felt hurt, abandoned, rejected, unloved etc. Doing the inner child work is what leads to our healing. It’s the most direct path but it’s a process that is experiential not conceptual. It doesn’t happen in the mind but in the body. And it takes time….It may seem like nothing is happening and you’re not getting anywhere but because it’s experiential, you have to move through the experience for the penny to eventually drop. It’s not something you can just read in a book and then shelf it, as a dear friend of mine said. You have to live it, embody it, practice it again and again and you will reach a marker when you can FEEL it and then it all of a sudden makes sense not just intellectually but experientially. And that’s when you’re whole life begin to change in a more visible way because now your patterns are conscious, you understand how to take care of yourself and you know that no matter what, you’re there for yourself and you can get through anything. It’s an ongoing journey of getting to know yourself more deeply, continually showing up for yourself with love, gentleness, patience, acceptance and kindness so that you begin to trust yourself and therefore feel safe within yourself. You are cultivating a lifelong long relationship until death do you part. Tune in for more… Loving you from afar, Corinne
