Orie Givens lV is the host of Radio Free Brooklyn's "Queer State-of Mind". In light of the Orlando shootings, I was feeling as if I hadn't been as emotionally aware to LGBTQ people as I would like It was pointed out to me by a friend how the media had not addressed the shooting as a hate crime and portrayed it more as terrorism.
