"Our Perfect, Forever Priest". In this lesson, we learn: Melchizedek is an interesting and mysterious character, but he is not the focus; Jesus is! Melchizedek’s priesthood is greater than the Levitical priesthood. God intended all along that the Levitical priesthood would be replaced by something better . . . the priesthood of Jesus. Because of his sinless life, substitutionary death, and resurrection from the dead, Jesus is able to serve as our perfect priest forever. Therefore, we can draw near to God daily through Jesus, the ultimate High Priest. So let’s celebrate our perfect, forever priest, Jesus!
