Our Pride and Joy: Gender Affirming Parenting

Imagine, giving birth to a beautiful baby…assigning them a gender, and just a few years later finding out they already know themselves better than we ever could. Hearing “I’m a girl” from a kiddo you assumed was a boy can elicit a lot of reactions. Today we talk to two moms who heard their kids when their children told them who they really are and have chosen to raise them to affirm their respective genders. Their reactions were to believe and nurture their unique and beautiful children.That’s what is happening in families across the world - and in America, a whooooole chunk of the country is actively trying to erase these kids (and their adult counterparts!) with anti-trans legislation. We can’t stand by while old white men chat in state halls about who gets to pee where when our kids’ very lives are on the line.Join the unholy trinity, Lindsay, Meg, and Sarai as they learn from two parents who have joyously embraced their kids’ identities, and raise them to affirm and support who their kids know they are.
