Our Second Podcast

from wakeup_Canada_podcast · host pierre Gazzola

Health Minister Iris Evans is standing by her department’s decision to hire Aon Consulting to draft a model for private health insurance - despite new allegations against the Canadian arm of the multinational corporation. But Evans said yesterday that she will review the way her department selects and screens contractors, in light of revelations about Aon’s legal problems publicized after the $1.5 million contract was awarded Thursday. “We’ll talk about how due diligence is run so we don’t have this again,” she told reporters at the Tory party’s policy conference in Red Deer. One of the admen, Paul Coffin, admitted to defrauding the government of Canada - that’s you and me, folks - of $1.6 million. He was given the laughable sentence of two years’ public service, teaching students about business ethics. wakeup has played your song Pour-quoi, pour-quoi pas.
