Our Spiritual Heritage

from Marathon Fellowship Class Hosted by Stonebriar Community Church

Scripture: Ezekiel 14; Daniel 1 United States history, like many countries before us, perfectly illustrates the trends of history. The greatest achievement any nation can leave for its descendants is a heritage based on spiritual values. Ezekiel mentions 3 men who left behind the greatest spiritual heritage ever. A nation whose Christians forget the source of success and prosperity is destined to go into the ash-bin of history, often sooner rather than later. Is that our destiny?

Community Bible Fellowship Church CBFC Red Hill, PA Biblical Teaching and Instruction straight from God's Word. Seeking to proclaim Truth rightly and boldly. The Real World Radical Media Group We live in a sick and sad world, where we value only what we can see. We see others and judge without knowing. We live in a world where social class is valued more than human quality. We live in a world where books and culture take second place, where money, lust and perversions are more vital than knowledge. We live in a world where we have forgotten traditions, values and God. Listen to The Real World with Omar Oropesa. Lewis's The Last Battle St. Philip's Church: Charleston, SC Come join us on Wednesday nights as we explore the riches of C.S. Lewis’s marvelous book The Last Battle, which is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia. It is a remarkable book on multiple levels and was awarded the Carnegie Medal back in the 1950s when it was first published. The Last Battle has some themes in common with The Great Divorce and That Hideous Strength that will make it an excellent follow-up to those two books, and like them, it has some remarkable resonance with things going on in today’s culture. It is a book that is both theologically rich and poignantly beautiful in its writing, and it can help equip us to live boldly for Christ in a culture that has lost its way. (Although this book is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia, it can stand on its own and it is not necessary to have read the other books for this class.)
