Our View From the Bench Episode 38 Thursday December 14, 2023

from Our View From the Bench · host Sycamore 4th Studios

We are back after a long week of work and life. Raiders smash the Chargers in Vegas on TNF for the whole world to see. We preview some NFL Week 15 matchups, including so many 7-6 teams playing for their lives. Vikings at Bengals, Steelers at Colts, Broncos at Lions, Cowboys at Bills and Ravens at Jaguars. Will be a fun weekend of playoff implications. Ohtani signs with the Dodgers....lame. His contract is unique to say the least and we react to the details. Then today they also traded for SP Tyler Glasnow and OF Manuel Margot from TB to boost their starting pitching staff...the rich get richer. Some other baseball notes including the Giants signing KBO MVP Jung Ho Lee, Cody Bellinger being linked to the Cubs and Blue Jays and we are all waiting for Japanese SP Yoshinobu Yamamoto to make his choice...hopefully not the Dodgers. NBA is in midseason form now that the IST is over but we have to talk about Draymond Green and the slap seen around the world and the ramifications of his latest altercation. Giannis scores 64 points, a personal and Bucks record, as well as Dame passing Kyle Korver for 5th all time in made 3s but the game ball became the story after the game. Lakers won the IST and now reports are they will hang a banner, probably because the league said to but we discuss our thoughts. Lastly we end the week with another edition of This Week in Sports History.
