Outdoor Magazine Radio (10/12/24)

from Mike Avery's Outdoor Magazine

Don Barnard is my first guest this week. Don is a retired Michigan DNR Fisheries Technician and a hard core angler. He talks about fall musky fishing. Then, Tom Weston from the Michigan DNR talks about the "Sportsmen Against Hunger" program to feed needy families. Hour 2 kicks off with Nick Green from the Nimrod Society. That's a group formed to promote hunting and angling in Michigan. Next, DNR Biologist Adam Bump is up next to talk pheasant hunting. The hour wraps up with Biologist Chad Stewart. He has details of the recent EHD outbreak in Michigan. We continue the pheasant conversation in Hour 3 as I talk with hunter and outdoor writer Tom Lounsbury. The show wraps up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time is a bear recipe, that can also be used with venison.
