We're wrapping up the month of "Rocktober" this week on Outdoor Magazine Radio. First, Matt Poet of Jay's Sporting Goods joins me to talk about getting ready for firearm deer season. Then, Brent Pike of the Michigan Wildlife Council has an update on their "Here for Generations" campaign. Hour two kicks off with Rich Chrzan from Killer Food Plots. He talks about their line of scents and attractants for the upcoming whitetail rut. Captain Russ Clark of Seahawk Charters in St. Joe, Michigan is up next. Russ says the low river water is causing some problems for steelhead anglers. The "Ask Avery" segment this week is handled by Sgt. Mike Mshar from the Michigan DNR. Hour three features Paul Phillips. Paul is one of the best extreme long range shooters in the world. He has great advice for Michigan firearm hunters. We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This week its my favorite venison recipe.
