Outdoor Magazine Radio (8/1/26)

from Mike Avery's Outdoor Magazine · host Mike Avery

We kick off the new month with Kyle Green of The Greenway Outdoors. He talks about their new Green Way Conservation Club and how this could be a good way for Michigan hunters and anglers to have a voice in Lansing. Then, top Michigan Game Warden Brandon Keift joins me to talk about the "open fields doctrine" and also the new law allowing recreational feeding for birds and wildlife. Chad Stewart of the Michigan DNR is up next with more on that new law. He says the DNR is still opposed to feeding and this move was made by politicians, not biologists. Well known Michigan houndsman Jordan Farmer is my guest in hour 3. He talks about the training season and running bears with hounds. Wild game chef Dixie Dave Minar wraps it all up with another great wild game recipe.
