Outdoor Magazine Radio (8/16/25)

from Mike Avery's Outdoor Magazine · host Mike Avery

Dr. Brent Rudolph is my first guest this week. Brent has recently returned to the Michigan DNR. His responsibilities include deer, moose and elk. Then, Michigan spearfisherman John Durtka has an update on how that sport is growing. Hour two kicks off with Tim Roller. He's the guy who pioneered the technique of casting crankbaits for salmon in west Michigan rivers. Tom Weston from the DNR is up next with details on their Hunt/Fish App. We're getting ready for deer season in hour 3 with the "Whitetail Whisperer", John Eberhart. John talks about his method of targeting trophy bucks. We wrap it all up with Chef Dixie Dave Minar. This time, it's a very nice turtle recipe.
