Outer Realm

I created a draft of the arrangements for Outer Realm at the Banff Centre in 2018. It's taken me quite a while to learn the skills to produce the song and music in a way that I'm happy with. Thanks to my fellow musicians from the residency for their support and inspiration and the Canada Council for the Arts for their support. Outer Realm [Verse] I walk through shadows wide and thin The air is thick it pulls me in No echoes call no voices hum [Chorus] Veil of smoke veil of night Where’s the end where’s the light Veil of smoke it hides it waits It breathes it shifts it bends it breaks [Verse 2] A clock without a face or hands The time it drips like sinking sand A whisper grows then turns to ash [Bridge] Is it a dream or is it real The truth concealed the edges peel No answers here no lines to trace Just empty air just hollow space [Chorus] Veil of smoke veil of night Where’s the end where’s the light Veil of smoke it hides it waits It breathes it shifts it bends it breaks
