After agreeing that Jamie and Claire will travel together to seek a judge for Claire's trial, Tom Christie volunteers to accompany them to ensure their safety. However, with Brown and his crew declaring Claire a murderer in every town they come upon, the trip takes a nasty turn, ending with Jamie and Claire being torn apart. And with that, Droughtlander has begun.
