The Federal Reserve will have plenty to discuss when its policymakers next meet on July 27-28. The central bank will likely assess the state of America’s labour market and how far it is from meeting the Fed’s goal of maximum employment. There are also likely to be deep discussions on downside risks to the outlook posed by the delta variant’s spread in the US, and also on inflation risks. Mansoor Mohi-uddin, Bank of Singapore’s Chief Economist, shares his insights on what to expect from the upcoming FOMC meeting next week.
