Ovechkin’s Final Game Could Be in Philly | Philadelphia Flyers News

The NHL’s back to an 84-game schedule, and the Flyers are diving headfirst into the season with an early opener on September 30 — and a brutal, shortened offseason to boot. Facing playoff-caliber teams right out the gate, including a showdown with the Ducks on October 24, they’re being tested from day one. The pressure ramps up late too: eight of their final ten games are against division rivals — a stretch that could seal their playoff fate. And here’s the kicker — it might be Alex Ovechkin’s final regular-season game, possibly in Philly, where he’s historically unstoppable. With 929 goals already and still chasing 1,000, his legacy hangs in the balance — and if this is it, facing the Flyers? Pure poetry.
