Over 100 Cyclists Descend On Ennis As Tour De Munster Makes Its Way Through Clare
from Clare FM · host Clare FM
Over 100 cyclists descended on the county town today as the 26th Tour de Munster made its way through the county. Cyclists made a pit stop at The Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis this morning, on the second day of their journey seeing them pass through the county from Killaloe to Killimer before boarding the ferry to Tarbert. The peloton was headed by four time Tour de France green jersey winner Seán Kelly, with all funds raised to be donated to Down Syndrome Ireland. Tour de Munster founder Paul Sheridan says the awareness the tour generates is just as important as the money raised.
