Over and Back - Reggie Lewis
from The Over and Back Classic NBA Podcast Hosted by Hardwood Paroxysm Basketball Network
Jason Mann and Rich Kraetsch are back with a brand-new episode of the Over and Back classic NBA podcast talking the life, career and unfortunate death of Boston Celtics great Reggie Lewis. The guys are joined by hoops blogger extraordinaire and Nylon Calculus' very own Seth Partnow who delves into why Lewis is his favorite player of all time, possible career trajectories, his stunning consistency and more. After that, Jason and Rich dive into the career timeline of Lewis, his rough upbringing in drug-riddled Baltimore, playing in high school with three other future NBA players and being recruited by Northeastern University and eventual UConn legend Jim Calhoun. The guys then move onto his NBA career, joining a still-talented but increasingly old Boston Celtics team, finally getting the reigns to himself, holding court at "The Table", duels with Michael Jordan, his final NBA game against the Charlotte Hornets and much more. Finally, a look at Lewis' untimely death, what occurred in the aftermath, how the media, players and the league covered the death and the downward spiral of the Boston Celtics franchise.
