Our guest is the singer, musician, writer and part time DJ George Paterson, who recently released the acclaimed debut novel The Girl The Writer, The Writer & The Fighter. George chose 1983 as his favourite year and its a belter. In Part 1, we get tunes from some of Glasgow and Liverpool's finest ( Orange Juice and Pete Wylie among them), plus a Parissiene classic from Mr Weller. McD was posted missing for most of the recording due to a house flood minutes before we went on air - however he chips in now and again, and George delights us with great stories we can broadcast ( his dad met Elvis Presley) and great stories that we cant (saving them for the book of the podcast) .....enjoy and stay safe.
