Overcoming the Difficulties

Sant Ji: comments on Guru Nanak from "The Two Ways" - when Masters leave this world, their teachings are misunderstood - there are 2 beings worth worshipping - God Almighty and the Master - since we have not seen God we cannot take instructions from Him - Master comes in this world on the orders of God and says everything from God - those who say Master is different from God are blind - if God is displeased we can take refuge in the Master - if Master is displeased, where can we go - Master removes the darkness of ignorance and shows us God within - 3 covers on the soul - physical, astral and causal - the higher we go the less the passions bother us - in par brahm, we become one with the Master and there is not the slightest trace of the passions - it's difficult in the beginning to reduce the appetite - but when you start eating less, it becomes difficult to overeat - when you develop the habit of sleeping less, you begin to enjoy the meditation - when you give up the lust, you will not indulge even if offered the kingdom - when you get the taste of the Shabd Naam, you do not enjoy the worldly pleasures - he who is not owned by the Master does not have any good quality in him and has no happiness in this world - Masters are not higher than God - like the sons are dear to the mother, the devotees are dear to the Master - by doing the devotion of Naam, one gets all the treasures of the world - by doing meditation one gets the contentment and becomes grateful to God - those involed in maya never do any devotion - by going to the perfect Master and doing the meditation we can go back to our real home - we know about the value of the Naam when we get connected to it - Naam is the most valuable thing in this world
