Today’s subject is “Overcoming the Pitfalls of Intersectionality.”Intersectionality is the complex, cumulative way in which the effects of multiple forms of discrimination (such as sexism, racism, and classism) combine, overlap, or intersect especially in the experiences of marginalized individuals or groups.1.If you are a woman in America, at some point in your life, you too may struggle with sexism. Through Christ you are an overcomer.2.If you are a person of color in America, at some point in your life, you too may wrestle with racism. Through Christ you are an overcomer.3.If you are a person of low socio-economic status in America, at some point in your life, you too may contend with classism. Through Christ you are an overcomer.By faith, you can overcome. No matter your gender. No matter your race. No matter your socio-economic status. If you are a child of God, saved by Jesus, and filled with the Holy Spirit, you are an overcomer! You can overcome the pitfalls of intersectionality. Praise God!It does not matter where or how you start. It matters where and how you finish. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus is how we overcome the pitfalls of intersectionality!Embrace your victory in Jesus! Embrace your value in Jesus. Amen.
