Overcoming Worry - God's Greatness

One of the reasons I worry is because I look at life through human eyes. What will I possibly do if that happens ! We soon see ourselves in deep trouble. We are in way over our heads. Fear takes over and worry reduces us to a blob of anxiety. Now last week I said most things we worry about never actually happen and that's often the case. But if what we fear most does occur- then we need to defeat worry by leaving it to God. He is actually able to do much more than we can ask or even imagine. The character of God - His faithfulness and His power - is the means by which we defeat worry. Jesus tells us not to worry because "Abba Father" has got it covered. I don't have the capacity to fully understand God. He is so much greater than the boundaries of my mind. But by faith I can believe that He has it covered - He has my back. By faith I can stop worrying because God has the answer- even if in my limited thinking I cannot see it. Ephesians 3:20 - Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us
