Overdose deaths continue to drop in Washtenaw County — what's behind it?

The Washtenaw County Health Department says they're encouraged by another year of decreasing drug overdose deaths. A new report finds the number of overdose deaths in the county dropped from 68 in 2024 to 58 in 2025. Deaths have consistently decreased since 2022. What's behind the decrease?
