Overnight Success

from One Life with Donny Raus · host Donny Raus

Do you beat yourself up over a goal you've yet to achieve? What if it was the journey that you were after the entire time, not the goal? A worthy goal is one that forces us to grow in order to attain it. As a result, it was never about the goal in the first place, but rather who we become in the process. In this episode, I tell the story of a friend of mine who was being very hard on himself for not making the progress he wanted. Because of his overly aggressive expectations, he failed to recognize just how far he's come in only a few years. Each of us are on a journey that is unique to ourselves. What's important is that we not set expectations, but rather trust the process as it unfolds in front of us.
