James ComerJames Comer: “How you?”Matt Laslo: “Livin’ the dream!”JC: “There you go!”ML: “Did you see — you’re not on Intel?”JC: “No. I have no…”ML: “But did you see Turner’s tweet?”JC: “I’ve seen it. I don’t even know. I’m scheduled to go there after this and read it.”ML: “And check it out?”JC: “Yeah, I don’t even have any idea what it is.”ML: “I’ve been here for 18 years, and I’ve never seen something like that.”JC: “I see all the conspiracy theories on the internet. I don’t know. I have no idea.”ML: “But is he — it seems like he’s kinda goading the administration to declassify some of this stuff?” JC: “Yeah. Well there’s — that’s part of the problem with these, with the whole mishandling of the classified documents for both Biden and Trump. There’s too many classified documents. There are documents that are classified that shouldn’t be.”ML: “Yeah.” JC: “And one of the issues, when you talk about fixing the problem — because there is a problem because it was a problem for Biden and Trump — is to have classified document reform. And I’m not an expert on that, but all the military guys that are up here — the [Reps. Mike] Waltz’s (R-FL) and the Scott Perry’s (R-PA) — and all of them — and [Dan] Crenshaw (R-TX) — they say that there are documents that are classified that you can Google and it’s the first thing that pops up.”ML: “Right?”JC: “So, there needs to be a stricter process to make it to that level, and there wouldn’t be as many classified secrets.”ML: “Yeah.” JC: “You know what I mean?”ML: “Right?”JC: “Cause they may get something they say, ‘Oh, this isn’t important, but, oh, it’s classified!’”ML: “Oh, I know.” This is a public episode.
