Overthunk Ep 4 - Don't call me stupid... !

from Overthunk · host Overthunk

Welcome to episode 4 of Overthunk! Today’s episode we recorded back on March 15th before the ship really hit the fan. It’s been a trying couple weeks for the planet and we hope this lightens the mood for a little bit. We were lucky to have my brother, Charlie Baker, as our guest today. He’s one of the best people I know and his sarcasm and wit make him so much fun to talk to. The episode starts a little tense as we get through some technical difficulties, however, I think it lightens up pretty quickly. Today you’ll hear a lot of F bombs and hear sophisticated vocab words, like stasis, from a very gifted writer. Speaking of writing you’ll also get a mini lesson on story structure ~ Conflict = a Compelling Story. You’ll find out why this is Aaron’s “time of the year” and generally just have a great time as we discuss our bain of the day. You can reach us with questions and comments at [email protected] Cheers! Aaron and Chris Links and notes: These are things we touched on during the show and so here are some additional links you may find enjoyable. 99% Invisible - https://99percentinvisible.org/ Reading the Room - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-james-altucher-show/id794030859?i=1000461192126 The Last Word on Power: (Wonderful Book!!!) https://www.tracygoss.com/the-last-word-on-power.htm Family Ties - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083413/ Brooklyn Bridge - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101055/ Word of the day: Stasis - https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/stasis Music from https://filmmusic.io "Killing Time" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com) License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Music from https://filmmusic.io "Celebration" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com) License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)
