ST. HEDWIG — An anonymous phone tip to the city marshal’s office led to the removal of 31 cattle and a horse on April 17 from property in St. Hedwig. The tip came in April 6, according to St. Hedwig city Marshal Mark Soto, who said the caller reported there were starving cattle on property on Jung Lane. A deputy who drove to the site to see the livestock there confirmed that they showed “significant weight loss and poor body condition,” Soto said.
