As I record this in the beginning of March 2024, there seems to be a lot of fear and uncertainty in the economy and job markets. On the one hand, companies are performing well and the stock market is hitting all-time highs. And while the unemployment rate in the US is also quite low, there also seems to be a lot of rightsizing, transforming, cost-cutting, and reductions-in-force happening.
