OYASUMI '25 (DEMO)

Hi. Just had to say this... I’ll never forgive all you artists, content creators, industry folks whoever who encouraged this toxic shift in how we’re supposed to “promote” ourselves. I REFUSE to call my art a “product.” Fuck that. Fuck y’all. I’m done poisoning my mind with that mindset. Y’all told us we had to post 25,000 times a day, be “consistently visible,” chase engagement in abusive ways even when we don’t feel like it until nothing feels natural anymore. And now you're surprised when people like me stop posting or don’t “take care” of their community? It’s not worth it anymore. I’m at a point where I wake up already defeated, mentally at my lowest, and still try to fight just to get knocked down in one shot. Shit’s objectively getting harder. Especially for those of us who’ve been here almost two decades. Meanwhile, some people take everything for granted, blame the artist for every L, but never take accountability when they themselves don’t show up. I’ve been calling this out for YEARS and every single day, y’all keep proving me right. How is it that my DJ sets IRL, from people who didn’t even know my career, numbers, or YouTube ended up bringing me more opportunities and value than my 15 years making beats? Because the music and talent spoke for itself. So to those who said “let the music speak” isn’t enough you’re part of the reason why this space has been unfun and toxic for decades. You force everyone into the same broken, outdated blueprint, instead of letting people be unique in how they promote themselves. If being mysterious doesn’t work, then explain Kendrick. Playboi Carti. Clipse. Sure, they’ve got fanbases but there were plenty of other artists who once had momentum, tried similar moves, and never got a second chance. Not everyone needs to be hyper-visible. Just like not everyone needs to hide either. And on top of that, older or inactive accounts get punished. Even those of us who do perform well get flagged as “botted” or “not real.” Meanwhile, some random “mf2555” gets millions of views copying other people’s shit. So yeah then you wonder why we burn out. Why we get depressed. Why we consider quitting, or saying “fuck it” and just focus on real life where our talent actually opens doors without anyone even knowing our follower count. I’ve been screaming this for years and y’all still looked at me like I’m crazy. So yeah. I’m ranting again. Because clearly, you either don’t get it or you don’t want to get it. I have no perfect solution to this. So I’m just gonna do what I gotta do to make shit happen. No more begging. Just grinding until I can finally build what I want: not just to survive, but to LIVE. To build generational wealth. To be the source of a damn trust fund. To keep making music. DJ. And finally get back to the joy of gaming just playing for hours and feeling peace again. Until I’m proven wrong: Do better. And stop lying to people. This shit is hurting more than it’s helping. Let’s give everyone a real shot and let the posers fade
