Ozma of Oz Chapter 13 - The Nome King Laughs

In which the Nome King gleefully ensnares each of Dorothy’s companions in a peculiar and disheartening fashion, leaving the brave little girl to face the grim magnificence of his underground palace almost alone. As night descends, the weary travellers find themselves confined to their chambers, with a troubling absence and heavy hearts, yet the quiet hope of morning still lingers in the air.
