Participation in Divine Action This section discusses mans participation in the divine plan through his spiritualization of his work, done in harmony with creation and God's desire for creation. This is the freedom God has given to man, to freely participate in the sanctification of the universe, by permitting him mastery over it. The three reasons for this are: i) that man may know in the material universe the truth that leads to the creator. ii) that man may remain unified in body and soul by acting appropriately upon reality and thus nourish himself in his entirety. iii) that man may partly govern this portion of creation by exercising his will and intelligence in accordance with God's will and thus be an instrument of God. These three reasons highlight mans greatness and his dignity.
