His production company, Folklore Urbano NYC, is dedicated to writing, producing, and showcasing a truly unique Colombian style of music. He will be accompanied on percussion by his son, Nico Mayor, who started playing jazz in school ensembles in the third grade, and last year was selected for the All-County Jazz Ensemble in Westchester and was the NY State Band Director’s All-State Drummer.YOU’RE INVITED!  THE BRONX MUSIC PODCAST – with Gary Axelbank was voted the Best Podcast in the Bronx!  It's recorded on the first Sunday of each month at 1:00pm in front of a live audience at The Artist (formerly the Starving Artist Café), 249 City Island Avenue, Bronx NY.  The Artist was recognized as the best concert venue in the Bronx for the third time. TBMP is seen on YouTube and heard on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.   It's also streamed the first Friday of each month at 8:00pm on BronxNet, in the Bronx seen at Optimum 68 and FIOS 2134. The technical director and editor for THE BRONX MUSIC PODCAST is George Williams and the Production Assistant is Joshua Cruz. THE BRONX MUSIC PODCAST – with Gary Axelbank is produced  through the services of Project Media Zone.Support the show
