Hola apasionados del taekwondo ¿Cómo están?En este episodio conversamos con Pablo Patiño @pablotkd. Pablo es un joven competidor de la comunidad autónoma de Galicia y seleccionado nacional juvenil de España.Ha participado en el Campeonato Mundial Juvenil y en el clasificatorio a JJOO de la Juventud. Además ha sido campeón del Abierto de España y de Luxemburgo.Miguel Patiño, el padre de Pablo, es entrenador de taekwondo. Pablo entonces prácticamente empezó a gatear en el tatami.En sus inicios Pablo empezó compitiendo en poomsae, nos comenta que la parte técnica del taekwondo siempre se le ha dado bien. Sin embargo, su espíritu es de competidor de combate.Con el tiempo se dio cuenta de que el combate era lo que le gustaba en el taekwondo. Su sueño es ser olímpico en combate.La importancia de ir paso a pasoAlgo que Pablo destaca de su padre como entrenador, es la capacidad de respetar las etapas de desarrollo del deportista.Nos cuenta que en muchas competencias le tocó perder incluso por diferencia contra otros chicos, algunos de los cuales ya ni siquiera practican taekwondo.Actualmente entrena con la Selección de su comunidad autónoma, con el profesor Jesús Benito. Dentro de sus objetivos al corto plazo están el poder entrenar con la selección nacional de España, ya sea en el centro de alto rendimiento de Madrid o en el de Barcelona.4 años para 32 segundosPablo es un chico que tiene sus objetivos muy claros, un libro muy influyente para él es el de “4 años para 32 segundos”, escrito por Saúl Craviotto. De acuerdo a Pablo, el libro detalla todos los esfuerzos que tiene que hacer un deportista de alto nivel.En el caso de los piragüistas, 32 segundos es lo que dura su prueba y se preparan cuatro años para esos 32 segundos en Juegos Olímpicos.Pablo es un joven centrado en sus objetivos, ser olímpico en taekwondo. Viaja incluso con su padre a observar eventos de alto calibre. Esperemos que siga luchando y que consiga llegar hasta donde se lo proponga.
