Pablo Schizophrenia drugs and the willingness to fight for a better life

from Adam · host Adam Webber

Today I had the honor of hearing Pablo’s incredible story of being a child who’s parents immigrated from Mexico and raised his family in an extremely poor neighborhood in Los Angeles. Pablo witnessed his parents having a rocky relationship from a young age and his brother ended up in jail. Then in 6th grade he started using drugs which led him to meth and alcohol. Pablo eventually found his way in and out of jail and a mental hospital where he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Pablo’s resilience allowed him to see the voices that he hears in his head as a gift that has led him to be the first in his family to go to college. Pablo has an amazing story of dropping all the way to the lowest scariest places in life and fighting his way back up. Here is his story.
