Pacers Throttle Pistons + IU/Purdue Preview!

from Query & Company · host 93.5 & 107.5 The Fan

(00:00-22:09) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting last night’s win for the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons. Jake shares what he was able to pick up from his courtside seats on what was said between players during the first half ejection of Isaiah Stewart. (22:09-35:02) – Earlier in the day someone sent Jake a clip of a podcast calling him a “spineless jellyfish” and saying he had “no balls” to push back at Isiah Thomas during their conversation last week. Jake defends himself and responds with his humility and maturity. (35:02-46:48) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Jimmy looking back at the early season struggles for the Pacers and how they have been able to turn things around. They then wonder how Andrew Nembhard has a thoracic spins sprain and the severity of it. (46:48-1:11:12) – IndyStar’s Zach Osterman joins Jake Query and Jimmy Cook to assess whether Indiana will let Mike Woodson coach against Michigan if things go horribly against Purdue and Wisconsin. Additionally, he states that IU basketball will always be something different despite football’s success this season and pushes back against Jimmy’s statement that IU isn’t that far out from making the NCAA Tournament. (1:11:12-1:24:38) – One week from today is the NBA trade deadline. Jake and Jimmy dive into the decision the Pacers have with Myles Turner. They examine what the Pacers would even want from the Lakers since they’re linked to him for the fifth consecutive season. (1:24:38-1:33:52) – Hour number two concludes with Jake revealing why he doesn’t envision the Indiana Pacers trading Myles Turner. Jimmy responds to Jake’s reasoning. (1:33:52-1:56:18) – Tony East from Forbes Sports and Locked On Pacers joins Query & Company to provide his opinion on what the Indiana Pacers should do with Myles Turner. Tony also examines whether the Pacers can pay him the money that he desires or not, states that the Pacers are between a hard and a hard place right now with attempting to make an addition prior to the trade deadline and clarifies Kelsey Mitchell’s contract signing that was announced earlier this week. (1:56:18-2:11:23) – GoldAndBlack.com’s Brian Neubert joins the program to preview tomorrow’s game between Indiana and Purdue. He provides one thing that Indiana has that Purdue doesn’t, believes that Myles Colvin and Camden Heide are playing better than their stats indicate, and agrees with Jake that the team was mentally fatigued from playing in a three-day turnaround after playing Washington and Oregon on the west coast. (2:11:23-2:20:56) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and JMV joining the guys in studio to preview his show!Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
