Packers Appoint Jonathan Gannon as Defensive Coordinator

The Green Bay Packers have reached an agreement to hire Jonathan Gannon as their new defensive coordinator. This coaching change follows the departure of former coordinator Jeff Hafley, who recently accepted a head coaching position with the Miami Dolphins. Although Gannon struggled during his three-year tenure as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, he previously earned acclaim for leading a dominant Philadelphia Eagles defense to a Super Bowl appearance. He now joins head coach Matt LaFleur in Wisconsin to oversee a unit that remained productive despite recent injuries to key stars. This hiring is part of a broader wave of NFL coaching transitions occurring during the 2026 postseason cycle.
