Padres On Fire, Rockies Slumping | Colorado Rockies News

The Padres are on fire, winning nine of their last ten games—including a nail-biting 8-7 victory over the struggling Rockies—to extend their streak to eight wins. The Rockies, reeling with eight straight losses and thirteen in sixteen at home, showed flashes of life with eight different players getting hits and just two strikeouts, but can’t convert it into wins. With the Padres at 82-55 and averaging under two runs per win, they’re fighting hard while the Rockies battle through a brutal season. Tuesday’s showdown at Coors Field promises fireworks as the hot-hitting Padres look to keep rolling against a team desperate for a breakthrough.
