Padres, Phillies, and Tatis Heat Up Playoffs | San Diego Padres News

The playoff race is white-hot, with wild swings and tight margins deciding postseason fates. The Phillies stumble against the Nationals, but luck smiles as the Padres also lose — giving both teams a chance to regroup. Meanwhile, Fernando Tatis Jr. is exploding onto the scene, crushing his 23rd homer after a brutal start — all while the Padres scramble to find consistency in their lineup, especially at second spot. With runs coming early and Tatis leading the charge, the Padres are flashing brilliance — but they’ll need it to hold steady as the season’s final stretch looms.
