School reform is not a new concept. The first round of school reform began in the 1800s, when our early leaders decided that our country would benefit from having educated citizens. Over the years, as social issues evolved in our country, so did our education system. With each change, came a call for school reform. In this episode of Paedeia, Drs. Berney and Richard review the history of school reform and discuss the current reform model. They review concerns that many have with our current movement and suggest some considerations for change.
