Page of SwordsWelcome to season 8 of this podcast, where I am talking all about the Suit of Swords. I’ll be going through each card in the suit, one per episode. What we explore in this episode:The Page of Swords as a card of curiosity, fresh perspectives, and beginning againSymbolism across decks: birds, air, youthful energy, and budding awarenessWhy this card invites us to reflect on defensiveness, openness, and the desire to learnHow youthful energy and inexperience can hold both possibility and challengePictures from the decks I talked about today referenced from left to right:Anima Mundi Tarot Deck by Megan Wyreweden The Goddess of Love Tarot Deck: A Book and Deck for Embodying The Erotic Divine Feminine by Gabriela Herstik and illustrated by Julia PopescuTherapists Who Tarot Deck, Prompts by Dreya Blume and Images by Rebecca BloomIn this episode, we explore the Page of Swords, a card of early insight, sharp observation, and learning through experience. This is the fresh start after the heaviness of the Ten. The Page doesn’t know everything yet, but they’re open. They’re watching, asking questions, testing ideas, and beginning to name the patterns they see.Sometimes this energy can feel defensive or uncertain, especially when we’ve been wounded. But the Page invites us to soften. To stay curious. To recognize the mental weather for what it is, and to stay grounded in our growing wisdom. This card reminds us that learning to think clearly, communicate wisely, and observe without absorbing everything is a practice. We don’t have to get it perfect, we just have to be willing to begin. If you haven't listened to my other seasons yet, go check them out!Season 1 - Tarot basicsSeasons 2 & 3 - Major Arcana and 4 suitsSeason 4 - Tarot in Pop CultureSeason 5 - Tarot SpreadsSeason 6 - Suit of WandsSeason 7 - Suit of PentaclesToday's Tarot Pull:From The Citadel: A Fantasy Oracle by Fen Inkwright, I pulled The Acolyte (reversed). The journey is valid, even when it feels slow.Reflective prompts on this card:Where am I being too hard on myself for not being “there” yet? What have I already learned that I haven’t given myself credit for?How can I return to a mindset of curiosity instead of self-judgment?Ways to Connect & SupportPatreon: For monthly hangouts, tarot Q&As, individual readings, and behind-the-scenes peeks, join the Every Day Tarot Patreon family.Newsletter: Get my FREE 2025 5-Card Tarot Spread PDF + weekly musings, event invites, and magic straight to your inbox.Let’s Talk Tarot Meetup: If you’re Local to the Greater Puget Sound area check out the Let’s Talk Tarot Meetup group for the latest event postings.
