from Wild West Tales - Old Time Radio Westerns · host theaterofthemind-otr.com
Hope you enjoy this episode of Luke Slaughter! Listen to OTR Westerns and our other OTR radio stations at theaterofthemind-otr.com - Luke Slaughter of Tombstone debuted on February 23, 1958 and, sadly, only ran for a total of 16 episodes. Sam Buffington played Luke Slaughter, a Civil War cavalry officer, turned cattle rancher, in post-Civil War Arizona Territory near Fort Huachuca and the town of Tombstone, not far from the U.S. southern border. This was a well-received program but was cut short due to the pressure of television at the time. At the beginning of each show we hear "Slaughter's my name, Luke Slaughter. Cattle's my business. It's a tough business, it's a big business. I got a big stake in it. And there's no man west of the Rio Grande big enough to take it away from me." - Thank you for listening, if you are able, please consider support our us to help keep the radio streams commercial-free: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/jared.day.oldtimeradio ---Audio Credit: The Old Time Radio Researchers Group.
