Pain is the Dream

The David Alliance [email protected] Garth Heckman Point 4:  You get a candle as a gift… you could care less until the electricity goes out and you need it… its a seemingly useless gift until you realize it’s not… it gives you light… the lights actually go on!   That’s pain… it seems useless until it allows the lights to go on.    God Redeems Pain He Didn't Cause Greek: πάθημα (pathema) — general word for suffering (Romans 8:18, 2 Corinthians 1:5) — often used for suffering that simply happens to someone, not suffering they chose.   But God will use it for his Glory in and through us.    Joseph  Joseph was  Last - youngest Loathed - hated by his brothers Lied about - Dad he was eaten by a lion Labored as a slave Lured - by Bathsheba  Libeled - accused by Bathsheba  Labeled - still just a prisoner  Lost - Lost in the system  Lapsed -  forgotten by the Butler in prison Left -  left for dead… until Pharaoh had a dream LIVING - LIVING THE DREAM - LITERALLY!      THE JOSEPH PRINCIPLE — "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good" (Genesis 50:20).     METHOD MAN WHEN SOMEONE SAYS TO YOU “IM GONNA BRING THE PAIN” - laugh and say “yeah, and I can’t wait to see what God does with it!”
