Palestinians question Trump's vision for the 'Board of Peace'

from The Radio National Hour · host Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Anthony Albanese may not have got the bill he wanted through Parliament this week but his fortunes are improving, meanwhile - despite all their protests - the Coalition is facing an existential threat with three national party frontbenchers shown the door by Sussan Ley for voting against shadow cabinets position. Now David Littleproud says they might all quit. As Gaza lies in ruins, with bulldozers replacing bombs, the US President Donald Trump is pressing ahead with the second phase of his peace plan, to be led by a 'Board of Peace' with Donald Trump as it's permanent Chair. But there's a catch, there's no mention of Gaza or a two-state solution in the board''s charter.  Why has a fierce debate erupted in the scientific community over the level of microplastics in our bodies? Dr Nick Chartres, a Senior Research Fellow at The University of Sydney and Scientific Lead at the Centre to End Corporate Harm at the University of California says with the world on track to triple plastic production in the coming decades, we're asking the wrong questions.
