L'America è sotto shock per il pallone spia che dall'Alaska ha attraversato il CANADA per poi sorvolare una base di missili nucleari in Montana (dove è stato avvistato dalla popolazione) e infine è stato abbattuto da un missile dell'aviazione americana quando è arrivato sull'Atlantico. E' improbabile che i cinesi siano riusciti a carpire segreti importanti con questo mezzo abbastanza rudimentale se paragonati ai satelliti spia. Ma dal punto di vista diplomatico la strategia di riavvicinamento perseguita in questi ultimi mesi da Xi Jinping con l'America ha subito una battuta d'arresto. Nell'opinione pubblica americana la consapevolezza che la Cina costituisce una minaccia per la supremazia americana si solidifica, mentre in Europa i tedeschi continuano a baciare la pantofola di Xi e stanno stolidamente consegnandosi nelle mani dei cinesi seguendo le paturnie ambientaliste della Von dr Leyen e Timmermans.
