PALM SUNDAY // First Words: EXPECTATION

Pastor AB Expectations are a funny thing. They have the power to fill us with hope or leave us drowning in disappointment. When life doesn’t go the way we thought it would, frustration can creep in, doubt takes root, and we start questioning everything—even God. If that’s where you are, you’re not alone. On Palm Sunday, the crowd welcomed Jesus with shouts of “Hosanna!”, expecting a King who would come to overthrow their oppressors. But Jesus didn’t meet their expectations— He exceeded them in a way they never saw coming. And instead of delivering them from Rome, He came to deliver them from sin. Yet, when reality didn’t match their expectations, their praise turned into betrayal. So what about you? When God’s plan looks different than yours, what will your first words be?
